An Evening of Acoustical Music Benefitting the Phoenicia Library

The Phoenicia Library is hosting an evening of acoustical music, together with a really first-rate silent auction, to raise operating funds. The event will take place on Saturday, July 14 at 7:00 pm at Parish Hall on Phoenicia's Main Street. Suggested donation for tickets is $5 and free for kids under age 5.  Refreshments will be provided by Phoenicia's own "Sweet Home" cookbook author, Rebecca Miller Ffrench.

Performing acoustical artists include:

Breakneck Annie Band – Up tempo traditional folk music with mandolin and accordian

Robert Burke Warren – Contemporary guitar and vocal

Miriam Rose Altman – Nine-year old music phenom, playing solo violin in the classical style

Enrico “The Big Caboose” Scull – Traditional ragtime and blues guitar and vocal

Dave Kearney and Elly Wininger – Guitar and vocals

Every year, with government funding declining sharply and operating costs going up, the library must fundraise to meet its annual budget.  This concert will help the library close the gap for 2012.
