Just when it was clearing up: Rainstorms moving south through the Hudson Valley prompted a fresh round of flood advisories and a few flash floods on Friday afternoon, a day after an east-moving storm prompted widespread flood watches across the Catskills.

A flood advisory for both Greene and Schoharie counties was issued by the National Weather Service at 2:50pm, effective til 5:45pm. In Schoharie County, a flash flood warning -- more serious than an advisory -- was issued around 3:30pm for a thunderstorm moving through the north-central part of the county, including Sharon Springs. The warning is in effect until 6:30pm.

Flood advisories were also issued for Sullivan and Ulster counties, in effect until early evening.
