Two brothers killed in Roxbury car crash

Two Staten Island residents were killed in a car accident last night when their vehicle went into a pond off Bruce Porn Road in Roxbury. The Daily Star reports:

Police said Paul Campione Jr. and his brother, Christopher Campione, were driving a 2001 Subaru south when the vehicle failed to negotiate a turn, and traveled off the road to the east, into a pond.

YNN says the accident took place around 10:30 last night.

A story on SILive.com says that the brothers come from an old Staten Island family:

The Campiones come from a well-known, deeply-rooted Staten Island family. Their father, Paul Jr., has for more than two decades run P.A.C. Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning in Port Richmond, having taken over the business from his father. Christopher Campione, who married last April according to Advance records, had been working in the family business, after serving as a sergeant in the Marine Corps.

According to people who know the family, the brothers had been heading home from their property upstate, where the Campiones were building a vacation home.
