TRUCK festival comes to Big Indian

Britain's TRUCK music festival, which describes itself as "a village fete meets Woodstock with a cutting edge musical policy sharp as your suit," is coming to the Catskills next week for a three-day American show. They promise big things, including an appearance by Mercury Rev and a chamber orchestra, and "a batch of the finest independent and roots artists from both side of the pond:"

...from Brooklyn the energetic WHITE RABBITS and the doomy majesty of HOPEWELL, top-drawer country-rock from Joshua Tree resident TIM EASTON and Canada’s hardest working band THE SADIES, a dose of upstate folk from MIKE & RUTHY and IDA. From Blighty THE JOY FORMIDABLE – one of Britains’s hottest live acts, NEIL HALSTEAD of Slowdive, and latterly Mojave 3. Also joining Robin & Joe’s new project DUSTY & THE DREAMING SPIRES at the Full Moon Resort will be the many varied delights of our stateside friends CAT MARTINO, THE SILENT LEAGUE, COMMON PRAYER, OXYGEN PONIES, BRANDON PATTON, ATLANTIC / PACIFIC and THE SHOESTRING BAND and many more acts on 3 stages (The Barn, The Roadhouse and the Main stage, in a large heated tent).
