Halloween is a whole week of festivities this year. The fearsome fun began last weekend and continues through the big day itself on Friday, Oct. 31 and beyond.
Here's our guide to Catskills Halloween events for Oct. 30 - Nov. 2.
DELAWARE COUNTY

On Friday, Oct. 31, come out to Walton for the 3rd Annual Knight in the Castle Halloween Party and Dance at the Castle on the Delaware. It’s an atmospheric night of dancing to Blues Maneuver, and there’s a buffet.
The Shire Pub in Delhi is throwing a costume dance party with DJ Pat Del, a costume contest, drink specials and a bar menu till 11 p.m.
In Hancock on Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1, the Haunted House in Hancock aims to terrify all comers with weeping ghosts, aliens, and something sinister called "the meat factory." Live band both nights, along with cookies and cider.
GREENE COUNTY
On Thursday, Oct. 30, author Thomas Allison will sign copies of his book, "Hudson River Steamboat Catastrophes," at the Bronck Museum of the Greene County Historical Society in Coxsackie.
There will be live music at the Halloween Bash on Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Blackthorne Resort in East Durham. On Saturday, there is a costume party with contests, games and assorted shenanigans.
The historic Hathaway House in Tannersville will host dinner and a silent horror movie from the 1920s on Saturday, Nov. 1. Enjoy a three-course meal prepared by the Deer Mountain Inn. Afterwards, pianist Steven Feifke will provide a live soundtrack to a classic silent 1920s horror film, "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari."

SCHOHARIE COUNTY
In Schoharie you’ll find Night Terrors Haunted Farm offering a Haunted Hay Ride and Haunted Corn Maze. They're open Friday and Saturday, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, from 7 pm.m to 11 p.m. “You'll feel the presence of the many restless souls waiting in the darkness,” they promise. “You can run but you'll never hide from those that have been waiting for your visit.”
And on Friday, Oct. 31 between 5 and 7 p.m., Main Street Schoharie goes Trunk-or-Treating. Don a costume, dress up the car in some spooky or amusing way, and bring treats to pass out.
SULLIVAN COUNTY
Come to Jeffersonville for a Halloween parade on Friday, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. Line up near the library.
The Catskill Art Society in Livingston Manor will be open late from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31 to give out candy to trick-or-treaters. See the gallery as never before with “CAS by Candlelight,” an eerie evening gallery walk that “whisks visitors back before the modern age, allowing them to experience art as they never have before, in the stillness of the dark with only candles for light."
They’re hosting a Halloween bash at Skater’s World in Ferndale on Friday, Oct. 31. Skate in costume and win a prize.
The Catskill Distillery and Dancing Cat Saloon in Bethel are throwing a Halloween party starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct 31. Jonathan Fox will host, the New Kings will keep your feet moving, and psychic Zoey Palm will read your palm.

The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel will be hosting a family-oriented event and film, Trick or Treat with Ichabod and Mr. Toad, on Thursday, Oct. 30. On Friday, Oct. 31, Bethel Woods is showing the "The Wolf Man," part of the center's vintage horror series.
Taste the Catskill Brewery's brand-new "Freak Tractor" beer, which is fermented with wild yeast, at a "secret dark opening" party at the brewery on Saturday, Nov. 1 in Livingston Manor. Local food, live music from polka band John Stanky and the Coal Miners, and tons of "the freshest beer available." Kid-friendly and free.
ULSTER COUNTY
Frost Valley YMCA in Claryville is holding a Halloween Carnival all day on Saturday, Nov. 1. Beginning at 9 a.m, the public has access to the summer camp for activities like archery, hiking, and rock climbing. At 7 p.m. the haunted trails and carnival games begin. The whole day is free, including lunch and dinner. Reservations requested. Call 845-985-2291 ext. or email reservations@frostvalley.org.
Haunted Huguenot Street continues in New Paltz from Friday, Oct. 31 to Sunday, Nov. 2 with macabre interpretive nighttime tours, murder mystery parties and a discussion of how ghost stories become part of a place’s lore. Tours will depart from the DuBois Fort Visitor Center hourly beginning at 4 p.m., with the final tour leaving at 8 p.m., on the Saturdays and Sundays involved. On Halloween itself, tours begin at 7 p.m., with the final one leaving at 10 p.m. Also on Friday, you can bring your costumed kiddos from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for trick-or-treating.
The Rosendale Theatre will screen the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" at 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31. This is Rosendale; expect enthusiastic audience participation.
Great Pumpkin Patch Express on the Catskill Mountain Railroad to visit the “Sincere Pumpkin Patch,” where you’ll meet Peanuts characters and enjoy a festival featuring live music, storytelling, tractor rides, pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treating, and a reading of the Charles Schultz classic “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” Trains depart from Westbrook Station at Kingston.
Woodstock and New Paltz both hold Halloween parades early in the evening of Friday, Oct. 31. Mingle with revelers at the exceptional afterparties: Woodstock has Ghoulish Halloween Entertainment at the Woodstock Playhouse and a Halloween Story Journey at the Woodstock Library. In New Paltz, it’s the justly famous Night of 100 Pumpkins pumpkin-carving contest at The Bakery at 6 p.m.
The Bearsville Theater in Woodstock invites all to share in their Pink Floyd Halloween Freak-Out on Friday, Oct. 31 beginning at 9 p.m. Music of Pink Floyd will be performed live by Will Bryant, Lee Falco, Connor Kennedy and Brandon Morrison, with “very special guests TBA.” Costumes are encouraged.
The Colony Café in Woodstock will also be rockin’ hard on Friday with a Halloween Masquerade Dance Party featuring live music by NYC dance band Mambo KiKongo. The fun starts at 9 p.m.

And in Kingston, they’ll be partying all weekend at the BSP. Thursday, Oct. 30, it’s the Freaker’s Ball, starting at 8:30 p.m. with Bunnybrains, Brother JT and Haunted Haus. On Friday, Oct. 13, beginning at 9 p.m., you can experience a Nightmare On Wall Street (the fun kind, not the kind where you lose your life savings/get pepper sprayed by the NYPD/get catcalled by a drunken stockbroker). On Saturday, Nov. 1, there will be a Day of the Dead dance party featuring a traditional opening ceremony and a parade. It's a benefit for Circle of Friends for the Dying.
Folks, it just don’t get more Hallowed than that.
