Skies over the Catskills are dazzling blue today, in the wake of a snowstorm that left over a foot of snow in some areas. But watch out -- with temperatures in the single digits, and expected to fall below zero overnight, it's still frostbite weather out there. 

There's a wind chill warning in effect for Delaware County, where subzero lows and gusting winds could push the wind chill factor as low as 35 degrees below zero tonight. Wind speeds of up to 30 miles per hour will make for biting cold, blowing snow, and poor visibility on the roads overnight. The warning is in effect until 9 a.m. Saturday morning.

A wind chill advisory is on for the eastern Catskills, where NWS forecasters warn that wind chill temperatures will reach 15 to 24 degrees below zero tonight. Also under wind chill advisory is Sullivan County, where similar conditions are in the forecast.

Hudson Valley Weather marvels that the Hudson Valley is colder today than the Northeastern Brooks Range in Alaska, where temperatures are expected to top out around 9 degrees. 

If you have to be out in the weather, we advise you bundle up. With subzero temperatures and gusting winds like those in the forecast through tomorrow morning, frostbite can set in in less than 30 minutes.
