The Delaware County Fair in Walton got off to a muddy start yesterday, but a little rain can't spoil the county's biggest, loudest, stickiest, most gloriously carnivalesque event of the year.
This year is the 125th anniversary of the fair, and organizers are celebrating tonight at 6pm with a parade. Friday night at 7pm is the much-anticipated Demolition Derby. And on Saturday, country star Rodney Atkins will close out the fair with a concert at 8pm.
According to the Daily Star, event organizers are expecting between 75,000 and 85,000 people. That's almost double the population of Delaware County itself.
