Hot showers and shelter for Sullivan County

With much of Sullivan County still without power and looking at another few days of power outages, warm shelter and hot showers are becoming more critical.

Sullivan County radio station WJFF announced on Facebook Thursday afternoon that several local schools are offering hot showers:

Sullivan West High School in Lake Huntington will have shower facilities available from 4-8pm tonight. The Jeffersonville school facilities will be available from 5:30-8:00pm.

Liberty High School will make its shower facilities available TOMORROW from 7am-7pm and Saturday from 7am-3pm.

Shelters have been opened at the Sullivan County Community College field house in Loch Sheldrake and the Ted Stroebel building in Monticello.

Information about shelters, dry ice, warming stations and other services is available on an info line set up by the county: 845-807-0800.
