The Daily Star reports that Richard Murphy, Democrat of Oneonta, is planning to introduce a bill to ask the state to hold off on hydrofracking until there's more scientific data on its potential risks:
Murphy said he believes that if the state gave counties more time to prepare for widespread drilling, they could do a better job of protecting residents and maximizing economic benefits.
