Chaplin's masterpiece, masterfully restored, at The Rosendale Theatre

Chaplin plays a lonely prospector during the Klondike Gold Rush of 1896 who instead of gold, finds love. The Gold Rush features such timeless gags as the dance of the dinner rolls and the meal of boiled shoe leather. “It is the quintessential Chaplin/Little Tramp film, with a balance of slapstick comedy and pantomime, social satire, and emotional and dramatic moments of tenderness” (Tim Dirks). With Chaplin's orginal score; plus, "One AM" with live accompaniment by Marta Waterman.
