Burglary ends in assault charge in Livingston Manor

Two Livingston Manor residents were arrested on Monday, Dec. 1, after allegedly breaking into a Manor apartment and then assaulting the occupants, according to a press release from the New York State Police.

Twenty-nine-year-old Travis Morton and 22-year-old Amanda Olivo reportedly forced their way into the apartment around 1:30 a.m. on Monday morning to collect a debt, police say. A scuffle allegedly ensued between the pair and the residents of the apartment.

Morton was charged with burglary and endangering the welfare of a child and was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $25,000 cash bail. Olivo was charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child and was remanded to the jail on $3,500 bail.
