Five arrested in Schoharie meth lab raid

A methamphetamine lab has been hiding in plain sight in a house on Main Street in the village of Schoharie, according to the Schoharie County Sheriff's Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Yesterday, police raided the house and arrested five people on charges of manufacturing meth, according to a press release.

Details are sketchy about how much meth was allegedly being produced in the lab. The press release states that a hazardous materials team was called in to dispose of "dangerous chemicals," and promises that more information will be released today during a press conference, to be held at noon at the Schoharie County Public Safety Building.

WRBG 6 also has the report.
