Arrest made in two-year-old Roxbury robbery

Douglas CronkDouglas Cronk Last Wednesday, August 3, the New York State Police arrested 42-year-old Grand Gorge resident Douglas Cronk on charges of first-degree robbery.

Cronk is charged with the armed robbery of the Roxbury Country Store on March 2, 2009. During the incident, a man armed with a handgun entered the store, demanded money, and then fled on foot.

Police say DNA evidence contributed to the identification of Cronk as a suspect.

Cronk was arraigned in the Town of Roxbury court and remanded to the Delaware County Jail in lieu of bail.

The New York State Police were assisted with this investigation by members of the NYC Department of Environmental Protection Police, Delaware County Probation Office and the Town of Roxbury Constable.
