Two car accidents in Delaware County last Friday

A press release issued today by the Delaware Sheriff's Department reports that the county responded to two car accidents on Friday. The release:

Sheriff's Deputies investigated a 2 car property damage accident on State 10 in the hamlet of Hamden at about 11:50 a.m. A vehicle driven by Lisa Calaci, 51 yoa, of Delhi, NY, was traveling northeast on State Route 10 and was made a U Turn into the path of a vehicle operated by Kyle Eckert, 26 yoa, of Unadilla, NY, traveling southwest on State Route 10. There were no injuries reported.

Sheriff's Deputies investigated a head on accident on State Route 28 in the Town of Meredith at 3:51 p.m. A vehicle operated by David B. Thompson, Jr., 25 yoa, of Oneonta, NY, was traveling northwest on State Route 28, south of the hamlet of Meridale, when he failed to negotiate a curve and his vehicle crossed into the southeast lane and struck a vehicle operated by B. Winterbell, 59 yoa, Laurens, NY. Mr. Thompson and was taken to Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. B. Winterbell and a 12 year old passenger were taken to O'Connor Hospital in Delhi.

Meridale Fire Department, Delhi Fire Department, Cooperstown Medical Transport and NYS Police assisted Deputies with the accident.
