Cobleskill school bus driver faces second child endangerment arrest in two months

This just in from the Schoharie County Sheriff's Department: 38-year-old Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School bus driver Heather M. Steidle was arrested yesterday on charges of child endangerment. The press release reads:

Subject arrested on 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child after allegedly texting on her cell phone while driving a Cobleskill/Richmondville Central School Bus.

The bigger question: What was Steidle doing driving the school bus at all? Last month, CBS 6 reported that she was arrested for allegedly having inappropriate conversations with teenagers on her bus route:

Heather Steidle is accused of regularly engaging in conversations of sexual nature with four students while she drove the bus, according to Cobleskill Police. The students are 15 and 16 years old; three are female.

The students told police that while they were on the bus, Steidle would detail her ongoing sexual activities with adults to them on a regular basis.

And WTEN reported that Steidle was suspended following her November arrest.
