From the AP this morning: A tanker carrying chlorine gas crashed near Exit 21 on the New York Thruway, near Catskill, around 1:50 am. The spill closed I-87 northbound for almost seven hours:

The recreation center at Pine Knoll Country Club in Monticello was destroyed by fire early this morning, the Times Herald-Record reports.
In other fiery Monticello news, a car caught on fire on Route 17 this morning, but it's out now.

17-year-old Olivia Rose Belfiglio fell to her death Friday afternoon while hiking with friends in the Devil's Kitchen in Hunter. It's the second fatality in just over a month in the area.
