On August 27th, 2016, Fleischmanns Alliance for Business (FAB) and the MARK Project, Inc. will partner to stage The Great Catskill Mountain BBQ Fest, a professional competitive barbeque event sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (a national organization dedicated to promoting and enjoying barbeque). The event will be held at Fleischmanns Park, Fleischmanns, New York. The professional competition provides the backdrop for a full-on all day event that also includes; an amateur BBQ competition (Backyard Barbies), The Fire Company Throw-Down (local volunteer fire companies compete for bragging rights), a full slate of bands, a craft beer tent, kid’s activities and all things associated with outdoor food, cooking and entertainment. This will be the inaugural event for this annual festival and the first ever held in the Catskill Park. Admission is Free.
The Great Catskill Mountain BBQ Fest is expected to attract a large, diverse audience (2,500+ attendees) driven by very robust advertising and marketing.
In addition to the barbecue competitions, the beer crafters and great entertainment we are seeking a limited number of vendors to present their wares at the Festival. As you know, the hallmark of most successful events is a well-curated collection of vendors. The type of vendors we are seeking should have some association with (but not necessarily limited to):
- Outdoor Cooking Cooking Wares & Books Spices & Rubs
- Outdoor Furniture
- Cooking Apparel
- Food
- Backyard & Deck Related Items Barbecue Related Items
- Barbecue Related Fuels
- Outdoor Organizations
- Wood Products
- Food Purveyors
This is only a cursory listing and we encourage prospective vendors to the BBQ Fest to use their imagination and let us know what you have to sell (or show or teach) and how it might tie in to the overall theme of the event. The organizers will do everything possible to consider your application and put in front of your booth the maximum number of people on event day.
The cost of a 12 X 12 Space for non-food vendors is only $50.00. For those vendors who attend this year’s inaugural event, please know that we will also honor that same pricing ($50.00) for our 2017 event.
