According to Michele Proper-Conley, the triumphant arrival of the Olive Boy Scouts in Central Park has been understandably cancelled thanks to Hurricane Irene. From Proper-Conley's Facebook page:
Our trip to NYC to welcome our boys into Central Park is cancelled, but I am sure we can give them a huge welcome right here at home!! They all completed the trek, with tired feet, sore muscles,and aching backs, but also with pride and a great sense of accomplishment. Some face their fears, others helped a friend out when in need, what a wonderful experience they had as our boys become young men!
