We heard from fans of WIOX 91.3 in Roxbury this morning that the community radio station had mysteriously disappeared from the airwaves last night. We put in a call to the station's office and talked to Glen Pedersen, the station's business manager, who confirmed that the WIOX transmitter has been down since last night.
"Yes, the transmitter is down," Pedersen said. "We're working on it."
Pedersen said that he wasn't sure what caused the outage, but that the station is expecting to go back on the air today.
In the meantime, WIOX is still streaming live on the web.
