Motorcycle accident in Marbletown injures two

From the Ulster County Sheriff's Office today:

Deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office report investigating a PIAA involving two motorcycles on Mohonk Rd in the Town of Marbletown on October 17th, 2010. A 2005 Harley Davidson operated by Christopher Mann, 42, of Pine Bush, NY was traveling south on Mohonk Rd with two otehr motorcycles. Witnesses reported that all three motorcycles passed several other vehicles in a no passing zone while exceeding the speed limit. Mann failed to negotiate a curve in the road and drifted into the oncoming lane. Mann sideswiped a 2001 Harley Davidson being operated by Jeffery A. Craig, 47, of Newburgh and caused both operators to be thrown from their motorcycles. Mann was transported via Marbletown Rescue squad and Mobile Life Support to St. Francis hospital with an open left leg fracture. Craig was flown by Life Net to Westchester Medical Center with a serious left leg injury after being treated by Marbletown rescue and Mobile Life Support. The Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the New York State Police, the High Falls and Accord Fire Departments and the aforementioned EMS agencies.
