The Western Catskills Community Warehouse (WCCW) is open for business on Fridays and Saturdays in the Village of Stamford, offering new and gently used building materials, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, appliances, architectural salvage, and more. The Western Catskills Community Warehouse is being operated by Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council, Inc. (WCCRC) and all proceeds will benefit WCCRC’s programs and services.
Our featured item this week is a fine set of decorative, Victorian/Gingerbread style wood corner brackets, sealed in the factory packaging with hardware included (pictured below). There are roughly 30 of these brackets available for purchase. Reasonably priced; they can be found locally this weekend, here at the Community Warehouse, at 76 Main Street in the Village of Stamford.
All items for sale at the WCCW are donated by area businesses, contractors, and individuals and are on display in the delightful showroom located conveniently on Main Street. WCCRC is requesting charitable donations of new and gently used merchandise for the WCCW, including kitchen and bathroom fixtures, cabinetry and countertops, appliances, flooring and siding, tools and other items. Please contact WCCRC for the Donation Guidelines at 607-652-2823 or info@westerncatskills.org.
Store manager, Doug Senterman, states, “We are pleased to announce our first annual Community Warehouse silent auction, to be held next weekend on Saturday, April 25, during our regular business hours. This event will present itself as a perfect opportunity for the community to benefit from our surplus of inventory, with reasonable opening bids on auction pieces. The days are warmer, and the home renovation/project season is officially underway. There will be a nice selection for bidders to choose from; home improvement items that mimic the theme of what’s currently available at the store: chairs, sinks, tables, windows, doors, furniture, vanity tops, roof vents, lighting fixtures, plumbing supplies, jacuzzi pumps, original artwork, the list goes on! We’re excited to offer this event to the community, and given the positive feedback we’ve heard so far, there’s no doubt this auction will be a well attended success. Mark your calendars for next weekend; we look forward to seeing you there, rain or shine!”
Again, the silent auction will take place next weekend on Saturday, April 25, from 10 am – 3 pm at 76 Main St. in the Village of Stamford, at the Western Catskills Community Arts Center (up the hill from the Community Warehouse). Winning bidders will be notified shortly after 3 pm and all items must be paid for and picked up by 5:30 pm.
The Western Catskills Community Warehouse opens its doors at 10:00 a.m. on Fridays and is open until 4:00 p.m. Saturday hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm.
