Again, a tradition is to have a choral work to close the Festival and this year it is an Argentinian vernacular Mass by Ariel Ramirez, Misa Criolla. Conductor Jorge Parodi, himself Argentinean, will conduct the musicians of Opera Hispanica, with indigenous instruments in this gem of a musical Mass setting. The sections are based on musical styles of South America, and sing to the heart. To bring the musical circle back to Spain, soprano Camille Zamora, will offer Spanish Zarzuelas - think music hall music from Spain, but operatic.
