The Benedictine Health Foundation is pleased to announce that Cross River Anesthesiologist Services, PC, contributed $20,000 to help acquire intubation equipment for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the Broadway Campus of HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley®.
“The Benedictine Health Foundation is pleased to partner with Cross River Anesthesiologist Services to purchase advanced medical technology for the HealthAlliance ICU, and to support exceptional healthcare services in our community,” stated Rich Gillette, president of the Benedictine Health Foundation Board of Directors.
The GlideScope Cobalt AVL (advanced video laryngoscope) provides a consistently clear, real-time view and recording of the airway and tube placement which enables quick intubation and creates digital files valuable for teaching.
“In times of emergency situations this equipment allows practitioners to gain vital airway control for ventilation and resuscitation,” stated Martin Cascio, MD, medical staff president and anesthesiologist at HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley®. “It allows practitioners with less experience in airway management to perform intubation like a more experienced operator. This equipment will save lives.”
