Saturday, May 10, 12:30-5 PM
Presented by Marguerite Uhlmann-Bower
Pre-Registration is required; For all age groups
This is the first of three seasonal adventures. Each class will be a hands-on nature tour that will traverse woods and streams near The WKC. The program will focus on edible wild foods (many of them invasive species) for their nutrition, their ecological conservation, and healing abilities. It will include a how-to session on preparing tasty dishes with educational handouts, recipes, and food tastings. Since nature dictates our bounty, plants discussed will vary over the months. Group discussions will include supporting and nourishing the land that feeds us and healthy eating strategies for all ages.
