HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley® is proud to announce that occupational therapist, Marc Bartholdi, OTR/L, CHT has joined the outpatient physical and occupational therapy department.
“We are very excited to have Marc on board with us,” said Kevin Rudolph, PT, FAAOMPT, manager of the outpatient physical and occupational therapy department. “He’s an excellent occupational therapist with strong skills and expertise to bring to our high-caliber team.”
Marc, a certified hand therapist, brings extensive experience to his new position, and offers individualized evaluation and treatment for outpatient upper-extremity injuries and conditions. He is proficient in rehabilitating conditions such as arthritis, fractures, finger and wrist sprains, carpal tunnel syndrome and more.
“Hands are the tools of our mind, and when they sustain even a minor injury, the effects can be profound on our day-to-day routine,” said Kevin. “Certified hand therapists understand the tremendous effect a hand injury can have in every aspect of your life and possess the skills to help you return to those activities either through restoration or modification.”
Marc obtained his Bachelor of Science in occupational therapy at Keuka College and was the youngest individual to ever complete the Hand Therapy Fellowship Program at Texas Woman’s University. In 2003, he received his Certification in Hand Therapy, making him one of approximately 5,600 therapists worldwide with this certification. Additionally, Marc is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and was elected to the Board of Directors for the American Society of Hand Therapists for 2014.
Marc practices at both The Sports and Physical Medicine Center in Kingston, 845-334-2870, and The Saugerties Diagnostic and Physical Medicine Center in Saugerties, 845-247-0009. Please contact these facilities for more information about services offered, or to schedule an appointment.
