Delaware County “Keep It Local” Business Expo and Home Show will be held at a new time of year and new venue…Saturday, March 22 at the American Legion Post 190, 41 Page Avenue in Delhi from 10 am to 4 pm, hosted by the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. Area residents and second homeowners can meet and discuss home projects with business professionals; construction companies, alternative energy, landscapers, service businesses and more; over 50 exhibitors and admission is free.
Mary Beth Silano, Executive Director of the Delaware County Chamber stated, “This event is to educate our residents and second homeowners on businesses available to them when planning and making decisions on a home improvement project. Remember, Delaware County is the same size as the State of Rhode Island, so this is a great way to see what is available in different areas of the county.
Last year, approximately 200 attended the show and almost one half of the businesses that exhibited were contacted as a result of the show. “The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce always encourages the use of our local businesses, stated Silano. Even though we are having a tough economy, this is when the business community needs to get their name out to the public and this is an affordable way to do it. It’s also a great way to see how your competitor is doing, Silano continued.
Sponsors to date include Delaware County Economic Development, Townsquare Media and Mang Insurance Agency. If you are a business, you don’t want to miss being a part of this event.
