Hanford Mills Museum has named Pamela Cooley and Charlie Zimmerman “Volunteers of the Year.” Cooley was recognized for her work interpreting cooking and home life in the John Hanford Farmstead, and Zimmerman was noted for his work caring for and interpreting the Museum’s engines and mechanical equipment.
“We are so grateful for Pam’s and Charlie’s dedication. Their efforts have enriched visitors’ experiences here at Hanford Mills,” says Liz Callahan, the Museum’s executive director. ”We are fortunate to have such a talented pool of volunteers to support and advance the Museum’s mission.”
She noted that the Museum welcomes new volunteers for special events, like the Miller’s Harvest Festival and Folkways Fair on October 13 and the Ice Harvest Festival on February 1. Those interested in volunteering at Hanford Mills Museum can contact Kajsa Harley, 607.278.5744, kajsa@hanfordmills.org.
