Exquisite Cuisine by Nicole E. Day Gray in Spillian Dining Room
You’ve seen the amazing art, heard the intriguing music, now feast your eyes on the lavish menu fashioned by Nicole E. Day Gray for the Re-Birth of the Stumpf Fiddle:
• Crunchy Fried Green Tomatoes with Fresh Tomato Salsa (from Nicole's garden!)
• Tea Sandwiches with Minted Radish & our housemade Lemon Mayo
• Locally Smoked Trout Pizzette topped with Radish Greens & our housemade Caramelized Wild Leek Pear Dressing
• Deviled Eggs topped with Fried Bologna Crisps
• Peach Cobbler
Ed Potokar and guests will be dining on these delicacies at this day/night art/music doubleheader. During the day Ed will lead a workshop on instrument making, first making a presentation on the process of creating his marvelous works from conception through execution, then guiding us as we contrive our own stumpf fiddles from materials provided by Spillian or from the surrounding woods. In the evening, Ed and some of his friends from the NYC new music scene will lead the group in making beautiful stumpf fiddle/sonic totem music together in a brilliantly irreverent jam session.
It all takes place on Saturday, August 24th starting with the workshop at 1 pm, dinner at 6, and the concert begins at 8. You may come for the whole day, or dinner and concert or just the concert.
Workshop - $125, Dinner and Concert - $30, Concert - $10
Everyone is recommended to come marvel at Ed’s spectacular exhibition Potophonics, now in its last week at the Orphic Gallery before the high tech hootenanny ventures over to Spillian.
