The Auxiliary of Margaretville Hospital and Mountainside Residential Care Center proudly announces its 2013 Harvest Moon Ball on Saturday, October 19th at Hanah Mountain Resort and Country Club.
We have exciting Harvest Moon Ball news:
- The Keene Roadman Citizen of the Year Award will be presented to John Riedl. As a longtime resident of our beautiful Catskill region and a retired Superintendent of Margaretville Central School, John has been a dynamic force for community wellness. His advocacy work on the Hospital Auxiliary Wellness Committee and as a founding host of the Wellness Hour on WIOX radio, attest to John’s remarkable contributions to the lives of so many in our region.
- We are excited to announce that funds from this year's Harvest Moon Ball will be used to renovate the old Emergency Department area to expand the present Radiology Department. This will include a new suite to house the mammography and bone density equipment, staff office and waiting room. This new area will provide more privacy and comfort to those patients who use these services.
- The theme for this year's event will be The Great Gatsby, the classic novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Although the ball will not be promoted as a costume party, ball attendees will be encouraged to enjoy the renewed interest in the 1920's and appear in era attire.
