Catskill Mountain Artisans Guild presents a children’s workshop, “Monarch Butterflies” with Kathy Grassi on Sat. Aug 10, from 10 -12pm at the Pakatakan Farmers Market, Route 30, Halcottsville. Learn about monarch caterpillars and how they change into butterflies. Go on a "Caterpillar hunt" to locate them and build them a decorated house with colorful window ornaments, until their transformation and ultimate release. This “Traveling Show” series brings crafts, workshops and artist demonstrations throughout the region this year.
The traveling crafts shows and arts series is presented by the Catskill Mountain Artisans Guild and funded in part by the Small Business Development Fund administered by the MARK Project, the O’Connor Foundation and the Kids in the Kaatskills.
