So Easy to Preserve, a canning workshop lead by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County, will be held at Hanford Mills Museum on Friday, August 2, from 2:00-4:30pm. The workshop will help participants review and learn the basics of canning foods using both the water bath and pressure canning methods of preserving fruits, vegetables, and meats. Participants will can a jar of produce as part of the class. Led by Jeanne Darling and Amy VanAlystyne. Participants will receive a packet of information on food preservation resources as well as tested recipes on canning, drying and freezing food.
