On August 2, 2013 The Delaware County Historical Association will open a new exhibit with a free wine and cheese reception from 5 – 7pm. The exhibit, entitled City Meets Country, features the photography by Sidney native Beth Brown. Ms. Brown’s work explores the juxtaposition of NYC and Delaware County.
Currently Ms. Brown is residing in Brooklyn and teaching middle school as well as pursuing her love of photography. She is a member of Professional Photographers of Greater New York and The Cooperstown Art Association. Beth received an Award of Merit for the 2013 CAA Regional Juried Art Exhibition. She was a 2012 & 2013 Guest Artist at the Smithy Pioneer Gallery in Cooperstown, NY. The Brooklyn Tabernacle’s 2012 mission ministry trip to the Dominican Republic was documented by her photos. Her photography has been presented in the Mariea Brown & Raymond Loft Galleries by the Chenango Arts Council Norwich, The Wilber Mansion by the Community Arts Network of Oneonta, & the Sidney Memorial Public Library.
Photography is my passion & creative gift from God. I love adventure & my vision is to capture the vibrancy of life through the lens of my digital camera. I believe every day holds the promise of a new photo adventure & with each photograph a story is recorded & told!

City Meets Country will be on display in the Elijah Thomas Gallery until September 5th. Hours: Tuesday – Sunday, 11am – 4pm. Free admission.
