The Delaware County Historical Association is offering a one-day trip on a luxury motor coach to Springwood, the Hyde Park home of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Please join us on Thursday, June 13, 2013 as we travel from Oneonta via Delhi to this marvelous site administered by the National Park Service. The trip will also include lunch at the historic Beekman Arms Tavern in Rhinebeck. There will be time for tour participants to explore the many stores and attractions of Rhinebeck.
Springwood is the lifelong home of America’s only four-term President. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour of the home, take a self-guided tour of the museum and stroll the gardens and trails of this 300-acre site. Also on the site is the Roosevelt Presidential Library. Please visit the National Park Service website for more information: www.nps.gov/hofr/index.htm
The cost of this day-trip is only $85 for DCHA members and $95 for non-members, a portion of which is used to raise funds for our county’s museum (price includes transportation, all admissions and lunch). Passengers may board the motor coach in Oneonta at 7:30am and in Delhi at 8:00am. We estimate our return time to be approximately 7:30pm in Delhi and 8:00pm in Oneonta.
