There will be local pork and locally-made soap rendered from pork fat at the next holiday pop-up farmers' market on Saturday, March 16 from 10am to 1pm.

Horton Hill Farm in Jefferson raises Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs. These pigs are raised on green pastures and fed locally mixed grain, whey from Harpersfield Cheese and garden grown fruits and vegetables. They will have USDA cuts of pork available.

Wharton Hollow Soap will also be on-hand selling handmade soap produced from the fat of locally raised HHF pigs and rendered over a wood stove.

The holiday pop-up farmers' market is sponsored by the Greater Stamford Area Chamber of Commerce (GSACC) and the Stamford Rotary Club. It will be held at the newly restored Delaware Inn, located at 54 Main Street in the Village of Stamford. The market will help kick off activities for the 18th annual New York State Maple Weekend (and St. Patrick’s Day the following day). There is plenty of on- and off-street parking available around the building and the building is handicapped-accessible. The snow date for the event is Saturday, March 23rd.
