On Saturday, May 11th, 2013, the Binnekill Business Council will once again host gardenFest, a celebration of all things related to the garden taking place on Main Street in the Village of Margaretville.
Live music will feature:
Laurie McIntosh (aka Story Laurie) is a storyteller, songwriter and singer—an enchanting entertainer who transports listeners of all ages to lands near and far with her delightful renditions of folk tales and vibrantly entertaining, socially conscious songs for kids and families. Since making her home in the Catskill Mountains over fifteen years ago, Laurie has performed for audiences of all ages at schools, libraries, festivals and historical societies.
Catskill Mountain Boys play a wide variety of bluegrass favorites. The boys; Henry Hermann, John VanBenschoten, Mike Herman and Todd Pascarella will present their own unique blend of rhythm, swing & Catskill Mountain music.
Gardenfest brings together landscapers, nurseries, florists, outdoor antiques, educational workshops, kid’s crafts & games, a green market, street performers, music and the evers popular petting zoo along with amazing food offerings.
Expanding upon the success of last year’s gardenFest, a home component has been added highlighting: interior design, bed and bath, kitchen housewares and furniture. This year’s gardenFest takes place on the Saturday before Mother’s Day and fresh cut flowers will also be abundant as we pay homage to all Moms.
