Tundra Brewery (markvanglad@yahoo.com) – select from three varieties ("Ma-Pale" Pale Ale, Red Ale, Brown Ale) of this special brew made with the brewer’s own grown barley and hops.
Weinland Farms (mr56chev@gmail.com) – home-raised and all-natural Hereford Beef raised on the farm’s 800 acres. No hormones and no antibiotics. Wholes, halves and quarters available, plus individual cuts ready for your freezer.
Wintergreen Gardens – Home-baked breads, cookies, cupcakes and cheesecake. For your home: locally-made cutting boards and lazy Susans. It’s not too early to start planning for spring – hand-crafted birdbaths and hypertufa pots. And for you (or your love bug) – fun and funky fashions and accessories.
The Greater Stamford Area Chamber of Commerce (GSACC) is pleased to announce that they are sponsoring another indoor holiday pop-up farmers’ market on Thursday, February 14 from 3:30 to 6 PM at the Frank W. Cyr Center, the site of the former Rexmere Hotel, located at 159 West Main Street in the Village of Stamford. (The snow date is Friday, February 15 from 3:30 to 6 PM.)
The market is right before the long Presidents’ Day weekend and falls right on Valentine’s Day. The market’s vendors will have farm fresh food, local beer and wine, hand-made gifts, table decorations, fresh flowers and more. There is plenty of parking available and the building is handicapped accessible.
Get to know the farmers and other local business owners (and GSACC members), as you “shop local”. Want to make sure they have what’s on your shopping list? You can pre-order directly from them for pick up at the market – just get in touch with them.
