Coming Feb. 14: Handcrafted Harpersfield eternity scarves and pasture-raised chicken and pork

By GSACC, Sat, 1/26/2013 - 2:23 pm

These are just a few of the marvelous vendors you will see at the February 14 indoor holiday pop-up farmers’ market in Stamford:

Harpersfield Nanny – hand-crafted right in Harpersfield: heart decorated rice filled neck wraps, eternity scarves, flower petal pins and hair barrettes.

Horton Hill Farm (www.hortonhillfarm.com) - offers pasture raised chicken and pork. All their animals are raised on grass and locally mixed feeds, which contain no antibiotics, hormones, chemicals or other things that should not be in your meat. The farm’s Bee Pee raw honey will also be available.

The Greater Stamford Area Chamber of Commerce (GSACC) is pleased to announce that they are sponsoring another indoor holiday pop-up farmers’ market on Thursday, February 14 from 3:30 to 6 PM at the Frank W. Cyr Center, the site of the former Rexmere Hotel, located at 159 West Main Street in the Village of Stamford. (The snow date is Friday, February 15 from 3:30 to 6 PM.)

The market is right before the long Presidents’ Day weekend and falls right on Valentine’s Day. The market’s vendors will have farm fresh food, local beer and wine, hand-made gifts, table decorations, fresh flowers and more. There is plenty of parking available and the building is handicapped accessible.

Get to know the farmers and other local business owners (and GSACC members), as you “shop local”. Want to make sure they have what’s on your shopping list? You can pre-order directly from them for pick up at the market – just get in touch with them.
