Hi,
We and all the critters survived the storm. We hope that you fared well, too. The wind was mighty up here, but all the animals were put in secure places. We just were counting on the fact that the places would be truly secure enough! Whew, they were.
Fresh Beef in the cooler! Everything from filet mignon to beef stew meat. And Fresh Lamb, too.
Pig Halves! Last Call!
This is your last chance to buy a side of pork this season. I've attached the pork cutting form to give you an idea of what you can get.
Turkeys!
And just a few turkeys are left unreserved. Contact me right away if you want one. Available fresh for pick up the weekend before Thanksgiving.

To prepare for the storm, we moved the ewes and goat does, donkey and llama to the big barn at Lora's next door. Turkeys were brought into half of our "winter yard" where they had secure fencing and a shed that hopefully wouldn't blow away. The lambs and kids and llama were brought into the other half of the winter yard with a shed and another hut for shelter. Layers were confined to their shed. The cattle put in the most wind protected part of the pasture, and the ram lambs, buck, alpaca and llama given a huge metal hut that was staked down. The Ossabaw pigs hung out in the woods. And the rams and wethers were fine in the yard where they were!
Photo: The kids decided this was their shed. Love how the twins stick together!
