Job Opening Announcement: CADE Beginning Farmer Coordinator

The Center for Agricultural Development and Entrepreneurship (CADE) is looking for a Beginning Farmer Coordinator to carry out CADE's New American Farmer Program. This is a part time consultancy position which requires travel to New York City and throughout New York State's Southern Tier East region.
Specific responsibilities include conducting outreach to New American communities, leading the Whole Farm Planning course for New Americans, convening a Farm Beginnings advisory committee, develop marketing opportunities for beginning farmers, and other duties as needed for program's success. The Beginning Farmer Coordinator will report to the Executive Director.
Specific qualifications include:

· Bachelor’s degree

· Fluent in English and Spanish

· Working knowledge of agriculture

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
