Last night during dinner at The Square Restaurant, a group of us took a break to witness the first trickles of water flowing back into the Binnekill Creek. Big deal? Yes, it kind of is. For years, the village and the landowner battled over how his land should be dredged to allow the water to run its course. An ugly, dusty creek bed resulted leaving local residents, visitors and resident ducks high and dry. Recently, an agreement was reached, dredging accomplished and water is flowing. Hopefully, for all involved this is now just water under the bridge.
