Festival Founders to Perform at Byrdcliffe Festival of the Arts July 14!

Dearest Friends,

These past months, The Festival of the Voice has been delighted to share with you details of  amazing events taking place in Phoenicia this coming  August 2-5.

We would like  to share a separate but very special project in which the Festival  has the great honor to be involved; the inaugural Byrdcliffe Festival of the Arts at the historic Byrdcliffe Arts Colony in Woodstock July 13-15.

Louis Otey, Kerry Henderson and I  will present  "An Unusual Night at the Opera" on July 14th,  an uplifting concert of song from Vivaldi and Verdi to Rogers and Hammerstein. The program will also include an open forum on the spirit of the human voice, both spoken and sung. The audience is encouraged to come 'armed' with questions. Maestro Douglas Martin (La Boheme on Broadway) and special guest, international pianist Justin Kolb, will also be featured in this 'Festival of Festivals' event.

Our event is just one of 17 stellar performances that will take place at the Byrdcliffe Festival of the Arts and we urge you not to miss any of the music, dance, theater, film, literature, magic and more by purchasing a festival pass. This special pass includes entrance to Friday night's opening reception, the Friday night Byrdcliffe Cabaret, your pick of six other events plus priority access to The Music of Happy Traum Presents Woody Guthrie and Jesus Christ Superstar.

The Byrdcliffe Festival of the Arts  includes the Woodstock Film Festival, VOICETheatre, Woodstock Writers Festival, Garry Kvistad's Drum Boogie Festival, Happy Traum and Carey Harrison, among others.

We look forward to seeing you in Woodstock!

Artistically yours,

Maria Todaro, General Director

The Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice
