Chamber Mixer @ Woodstock Playhouse

On Wednesday, April 4, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m., the Woodstock Playhouse will host a Chamber mixer at 103 Mill Hill Road, the gateway to Woodstock. Principals of the Playhouse will announce their 2012 season of professional summer stock, which will include four shows. Special door prizes will be awarded, and refreshments will be served. According to Woodstock Playhouse Executive Director Randy Conti, “We’d like to take this opportunity to welcome the Woodstock business community to see the newly completed and fully enclosed playhouse. Many local businesses and individuals rallied to help us complete those important milestones last summer, and we want them to come share in our ongoing celebration.” Though the Playhouse is still working to complete a permanent on-stage LED lighting system, it has come a long way from the tragic fire that burned it to the ground in May 1988.

At the April 4 mixer Woodstock Chamber of Commerce & Arts board members (of which Mr. Conti is one) will be on hand to discuss a full slate of Chamber-sponsored initiatives for the spring, summer and fall. These include a Sidewalk Sale, a 2012 guitar sculpture festival, a new season of the hugely popular Concerts on the Green, the ongoing Woodstock Artists’ Salons, the new Connect and Support group for home-based business owners, the 2012 Experience Woodstock Card program, and many more. Current and prospective Woodstock Chamber members interested in attending the April 4 mixer are asked to RSVP to info@woodstockchamber.com or info@woodstockplayhouse.org.

The Chamber reminds everyone that its online calendar is an excellent resource at which to find or list upcoming events, free of charge. See www.woodstockchamber.com, Community Events Calendar. For more about the Woodstock Playhouse, please visit www.woodstockplayhouse.org.

About the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce & Arts and the Town of Woodstock

The Woodstock Chamber (www.woodstockchamber.com) is committed to a leadership role in collaborating with area businesses, arts organizations and local/county/state government to promote Woodstock and the surrounding region as a premier four-season destination for cultural tourism. The spirit of Woodstock is a beautiful state of mind—visitors return again and again, and often make their homes here. Known as the “Colony of the Arts” since 1902, Woodstock is located in the Hudson Valley at the foothills of the Catskills. It’s less than two hours from metro New York and a little over four hours from the Boston area. Because of its prominence in the worlds of art and music, Woodstock is often called “the most famous small town in the world.”

The Woodstock Chamber is proud to welcome visitors to Woodstock with the 2012 Experience Woodstock Card (see www.experiencewoodstockcard.com).
