Songs of the Soldier - Performance by Mark Rust

A truly unique historical and entertaining program, The Songs of the Soldier is a stirring presentation of favorite songs of American soldiers and veterans from World War I. The songs reflect the experiences soldiers encountered while making the transformation from ordinary citizens to disciplined soldiers, as well as the songs of the families remaining on the home front supporting their young men and women abroad.

The weekend of programs and exhibit is made possible by the Arts for Sullivan Decentralization Grants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts and administered by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, and a donation from the former VFW Post #8648 of Grahamsville.
