Juilliard Students Join Local Opera Singer for Holiday Concert December 11 in Woodstock
Imagine six talented musicians from the Juilliard School in New York teaming up with local opera singer Kerry Henderson for a blockbuster Holiday Concert! It’s happening on Sunday, December 11 at 3 pm in Woodstock at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church.
Dubbed “Juilliard Voices Holiday Concert,” the program will feature a mix of opera, songs of the season and a Hallelujah Chorus sing-in. “We are so happy to welcome the Juilliard sextet along with the talented Kerry Henderson who is credited with founding the Opera Theater of Kingston,” said Marie Duane, concert coordinator.
The Juilliard group of students will include Daniel Wilson, Joshua Berg, Ani Melinee Tchorbajian, Amalia Crevani, Despina Dassouras and Sarah Fleiss. “These students are just amazing and they have already established their resume with credits ranging from White House performances to Carnegie Hall and placing as top tenor in the New Jersey Music Educators All-State Choir,” said Duane.
Music for the concert will include pieces by Bach, Debussy, Handel and Mozart. In addition, Christmas favorites such as “The Christmas Song,” will be sung.
St. Gregory’s is located at 2578 Route 212 in Woodstock. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 adults and $5 for children under 16.
