Welcome to The Watershed Post. We're a news and information hub for the Catskills, the source of New York City's water. If you live in Delaware, Ulster, Greene, Sullivan or Schoharie County--or if you're one of the 9 million people whose water comes from the Catskill mountains--this site is for you.
Our site has three main parts:
- Local news. We curate news from around the watershed, with a focus on land use, arts, and the environment.
- A searchable and updateable business directory. We aim to help you find any business in the Catskills.
- An event calendar. Post an event and see what's going on. We want to help you get together.

We want you!
We want to cover things you care about. You're encouraged to post or send us links to local blogs, photos of local events, accounts of public meetings, ideas for investigative stories, documents, maps, genealogies, old photographs, histories or first-person accounts of life in the watershed (especially the drowned towns where the reservoirs are now). If you've got something you'd like to share, email us at editor@watershedpost.com.
