A 55-year-old man was arrested in the village of Sharon Springs on Wednesday, Aug. 5 for attempting to hurt his neighbor by putting glass in his neighbor's pool, police say.

New York State Police arrested Sharon resident John E. Schultheis and charged him with misdemeanor reckless endangerment "after he allegedly threw glass into the pool of a neighbor in an attempt to cause him physical harm," according to a press release.
Schultheis was arraigned and released; he will appear in the town of Sharon Court on August 20, police say.
