A 22-year-old West Hurley man was arrested on Thursday after a seven-month investigation concluded that he had entered a female acquaintance's home, choked her and subjected her to sexual contact without her consent, according to an Ulster County Sheriff’s Office press release.
The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office began investigating John C. Schiskey in August of last year on an allegation of unlawful sexual contact, Schiskey was arrested Thursday morning, the press release said.
Schiskey was charged with criminal trespass, criminal obstruction of breath or blood circulation, and sexual misconduct, a class A misdemeanor. He was arraigned in the Town of Ulster Court on $2,500 cash bail, and will reappear in Town of Kingston Court at a later date.
