So you think you're a flatlander

If you haven't heard the term "flatlander" around the Catskills, odds are that you are one. There's an unusual opportunity to hear what the locals really think about you happening tonight in Andes. The plan is for a frank discussion, led by a local, about the "relationships between Catskill Mountain locals and flatlanders."

This issue is close to the heart of filmmaker Roger Bobley, who runs the Andes Roundtable, the weekly discussion group that is hosting the talk. He has made an entire 70-minute documentary about Catskill Mountain locals, interviewing a wide range of people about everything from their opinions of George W. Bush to their thoughts on venison to their feelings about the term "hillbilly." You can watch it on his website here
