Kingston cat fight

It's like pulling teeth to get people to speak up at a vital school budget meeting around here -- but mention cats, and suddenly everybody's got an opinion. The Freeman reports (with video!) on last night's contentious Common Council meeting, at which Kingston alderman Robert Senor got plenty of flak for his proposal to limit the number of cats each Kingston house can have. Senor's not the only one fed up with cats, though:

“When you look out your window and there are eight cats (in the yard), that’s a lot,” [William] Dilig told the committee. “I don’t need the smell. I don’t want those cats in my yard. I don’t.”

Earlier: Kingston alderman: Enough with the cats already.
