Alexis Muniz, who hails from Accord in Ulster County, had to let her Facebook friends know that she was working another job while collecting workers compensation, which is a big, felonious no-no. The Poughkeepsie Journal reports that the authorities promptly tracked her down and charged her with insurance fraud:
Investigators from the state Insurance Department launched their investigation after they discovered a Facebook posting from Muniz in which she announced she had collected money from the worker’s compensation fund while working full time as an apartment complex manager. She began collecting the money after she was injured while working at another job, Klug said.
